Katie Petrochic, LPC
Katie Petrochic is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who is supervised by Michael Pollak, PCC-S, LICDC. She provides individual and group therapy to adolescents and young adults. Katie has training and experience working with suicidal ideations, self-harming behaviors, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, mood disorders, eating disorders, body image and self-esteem issues. Katie’s clinical orientation is from a dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, helping clients understand how feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are intertwined. These approaches help clients learn distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and coping strategies in general.
Katie earned her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State University. She also completed both her practicum and internship placements at The Behavioral Wellness Group, specifically co-facilitating The Adolescent IOP.
