Jessica Terrizzi, M.A.
Jessica Terrizzi is a psychology trainee working towards her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. She is supervised by Dr. John Glovan, Psy.D. She has spent the last several years working with college students, adolescents, and adult clients in a variety of settings. She offers individual and group therapy at BWG and is training to provide psychological testing and assessment services. Jess has experience working with several concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Her approach to counseling is tailored to help provide a safe and supportive environment for clients where they can take the first steps towards their goals. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, empowerment, and person-centered practices to help clients gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors. She helps them to establish more meaningful relationships in general as well as building stronger relationships with themselves. She believes that it is important to approach treatment from a positive perspective in order to promote growth within her clients.
Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wagner College, and a master’s degree in Psychology from The University of Akron. She is currently enrolled at The University of Akron, where she is a fourth-year doctoral student.
