Brianne Markley, LPC
Brianne Markley is a psychology trainee working towards her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. She is supervised by Dr. John Glovan, Psy.D. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has spent the last several years working with college students and adult clients. She offers individual and group therapy at BWG and is training to provide psychological testing and assessment services. Brianne specifically enjoys facilitating groups and has experience facilitating PHPs, IOPs, trauma-informed and animal-assisted group therapies. Her approach to counseling is tailored to help clients reach their personal goals. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help clients re-shape their thoughts, learn healthier behaviors, tune in with intention and employ kindness with accountability in their day-to-day lives.
Brianne earned two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Religion from Otterbein University and a Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. She is currently enrolled at Cleveland State University where she is a third-year doctoral student. She believes life is more fulfilling when learning and considers learning about oneself to be the ultimate endeavor.
